*60yd Dash is a rough estimation based on the 40yd dash time.
Test Interpretations/Explanations Below
Athlete Ranking
Athlete ranking is the highest scorer across all tests. The higher the ranking, the more overall athleticism. All tests can be improved with training.
0-10yds
0-10yds is a measure of acceleration or quickness. Slower numbers can be due to poor start mechanics, and/or lack of strength/power.
0-40yds
0-40yds is a measure of acceleration + top speed.
Interpretation: If an athlete ranks (7th) for his 0-10yds but (3rd) for his overall 40yd time, this athlete has better top end speed than acceleration. Either or can be improved with training. And sometimes this is just the “profile” of the athlete.
Jumps
The jumps are good predictors of speed abilities and good measurements to check for progress in training. The athletes with the most power generally have the best speed.
An exception: You may have an athlete that scores a (1) in Power (watts) but a (6) in speed…this is due to having more body mass. This athlete has the potential to be a big hitter or a hard thrower.
