Speed Session
Starting At: $20.00 for Drop-In
Concentrated linear speed work for athletes 14 and up, acceleration and top-speed mechanics, plus the hip flexor, hamstring, ankle, and core qualities that sprinting actually depends on. One thing, trained properly. Pay-what-you-can, and your first group class is free.
Details
Fast is a skill. Skills get coached.
Most athletes are told they’re either fast or they aren’t. In reality, sprinting is a technical skill built on specific physical qualities, and both are trainable. How an athlete applies force into the ground, how their limbs cycle, how stiff the ankle stays on contact, whether the hamstrings and hip flexors can handle sprint speeds at all. Athletes rarely get taught any of it. They get told to run more.
Speed Sessions does one thing: makes athletes faster in a straight line, with intention.
What a session looks like
Movement prep and sprint drills, then acceleration work, then top-speed work, always while fresh, because sprinting tired is conditioning, not speed training. Rest between efforts is deliberate and non-negotiable; quality reps are the entire point. Sessions also target the qualities that quietly limit sprint speed and go untrained almost everywhere: hip flexor strength, ankle stiffness, hamstring strength through full range, and the core control that keeps mechanics from falling apart at pace.
How this differs from Speed Strength Vertical
Speed Strength Vertical is the complete athletic base, speed, agility, strength, and power together. Speed Sessions is concentrated linear speed alone: no change of direction, no jump program, no general strength block. Athletes who want a full foundation should start with Speed Strength Vertical. Athletes who need to be faster in a straight line, or who already train elsewhere and want to attack that one quality, belong here. Plenty of athletes do both.
Who it’s for
Athletes 14 and up in any sport where straight-line speed matters, track, football, soccer, baseball, softball. Also useful for athletes who’ve been training hard, or running a lot, without their 40 or their sprint times actually moving. No prior sprint training experience needed; mechanics are taught from the ground up and volume is scaled to the individual.
