One program for the whole athlete.

Most high school athletes end up choosing: a speed clinic, or a weight room, or a jump program. Each develops one quality and ignores the rest, but sports don’t ask for one quality. A play is an accelerate, a change of direction, a jump, and a collision, all inside a few seconds.

Speed Strength Vertical covers all of it. Sprint mechanics and acceleration. Agility and change of direction. Real strength work. Explosive power and jump development. It’s the whole athletic base in one program, coached together, in the order that makes each part work.

What a session looks like

Movement prep, then speed, agility, and power work while athletes are fresh, then strength. That order matters, explosive work done tired trains the wrong thing and raises injury risk. Lifting is coached rep by rep, with technique held to a standard before load goes up, and athletes are taught to land as deliberately as they take off.

What it isn’t: high-volume conditioning dressed up as speed or jump training. Plenty of programs leave athletes exhausted because exhaustion feels like progress. Getting faster and jumping higher comes from producing more force, faster, which requires quality work and real recovery between efforts, not more sweat.

If you’re here for the vertical

Volleyball players are a big part of this group, and the vertical is usually why. It’s addressed directly, jump and landing mechanics, the strength that underpins force production, and the reactive power that turns strength into height. The rest of the program isn’t a detour from that goal; the same qualities that raise a vertical also make an athlete faster off the block and quicker to the ball.

Measured, not guessed

Athletes are tested at the start to establish a baseline, then retested periodically. Speed, strength, and vertical are numbers, you either moved them or you didn’t. That’s how programming gets adjusted, and how an athlete knows the work is doing something rather than just hoping.

Who it’s for

High school athletes in any sport. Volleyball, basketball, track, football, soccer, baseball, the underlying qualities are the same, and this is where they get built. Useful for athletes whose team lifting is generic or non-existent, for multi-sport athletes who need a base rather than more sport-specific volume, and for anyone training hard without seeing their numbers move. No prior lifting experience needed; technique is taught from the ground up and load is scaled to the individual.
