Coach David Braswell


David Braswell is a U.S Marine Veteran that served in Operation Enduring Freedom. He’s a track and field athlete, an expert on improving running speed (short-long distances), jumping power, and overall athleticism. David has more than 15 years training at all levels. He began his training/coaching career coaching with the Central Texas Elite Track Club in 2002, followed by training positions as all the major fitness gyms including Gold’s Gym before launching his own company, Outright Fitness.

David has established himself as one of the best training professionals in Central Texas. His diverse clientele include, adult and youth athletes, elite track and field sprinters, FBI agents, business icon Robert Smith, CEO of Vista Equity Partners and entrepreneur/model Hope Dworaczyk , MLB player Justin Ruggiano of the Texas Rangers, actor Sam Rockwell.


David, attended Prairie View A & M University and Texas State University majoring in Exercise Science.


Quick facts: David’s first athletic activity was martial arts while living in Japan as a child. He lost his father to multiple myeloma in 2005. David has worked in the Juvenile Justice system over 6 years. He has two dogs, loves playing chess and is a big Dr. Who fan.

Coach Ernest Miller


Ernest Miller was born and raised in Taylor, Texas. He attended Taylor High School where he participated in a variety of sports including basketball, track, and football. Ernest graduated from Taylor High School, receiving a full athletic/football scholarship to the University of Houston where he earned a bachelor’s of science degree in kinesiology and a minor in health. Ernest was recognized for his outstanding performance on the football field being one of only ten players in school history to compete in four bowl games during his collegiate career.

Erika Canales – Marketing & Engagement Director


Erika Canales has over 20 years of experience in the fitness industry. Erika offers experience in planning, marketing, community outreach, training and project management. Her roles have ranged from case manager to diversity practitioner in the mental health care non-profit industry. Her activities are designed to improve access and health outcomes. Erika has pioneered non-traditional outreach projects with community partners that focus on implementing innovative learning opportunities. Erika holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Sport Management from The University of Texas at Austin and Master of Business Administration from Texas State University.

Coach Skylar Johnson


Coach Skylar is a running enthusiast and coach who also competes from time to time.
As a former soccer player who has now focused on running, he challenges himself at various distances (400m to 5k).

As a life-long fitness enthusiast, Skylar pursued various athletic (swimming, bicycling) and sporting (soccer) challenges during his young adulthood. In addition to playing, he also coached and managed for youth and adult teams. After hanging up his soccer cleats, he enrolled at St. Edward’s University. At St. Ed’s Skylar received a B.S. in Biochemistry in 2008 while conducting research published in a peer reviewed journal.

After college, Skylar began looking for a new challenge, and took up running despite having been away from athletics for several years. Skylar has focused his coaching on helping runners develop better form/mechanics and remain injury free.
